School of Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is a discipline that applies the principles of mechanics, including force, motion, and energy, to a wide range of applications and fundamental research.
In particular, to develop products that benefit society, mechanical engineering provides a systematic framework for product design. Based on an understanding of society, culture, and, more fundamentally, human needs, it defines products and their required functions, explores the principles of various physical phenomena necessary to realize those functions, predicts performance through mathematical modeling, and ultimately designs components and complete products. Through this process, students develop social awareness and creative problem-solving skills.
To cultivate professionals capable of meeting the needs of rapidly evolving and increasingly advanced technological fields, the Department of Mechanical Engineering offers specialized tracks in Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Robotics Engineering, and Aerospace Mobility. Building on the foundation of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), the department integrates IT-based interdisciplinary problem solving and AI-based Human-Agent Team operation, with the goal of fostering professionals equipped with the skills required to carry out projects effectively.
Ultimately, the department aims to apply these capabilities to address challenges facing humanity and to contribute to the creation of a technology-driven cultural world.
